If you are like thousands of others, you have a dream of being able to work from home. If you look on the internet, there are all kinds of web pages from people claiming that you can make thousands, if mot hundreds of thousands of dollars from home, working 30 minutes to 1 hour a day. Now, who wouldn’t love that? I know for most of us, being able to make that kind of money in your pajamas sounds like a dream come true.

There are all kinds of reasons why people chose to work from home, or wish they could. For some, it is a necessity. They may have small children and daycare isn’t an acceptable option. Maybe they have a child who has special needs and they need extra time to devote to them. Maybe they have several small children and the cost of quality daycare is too expensive. There are also people who have older persons whom they are responsible for caring for and some need constant care. If is very expensive to hire a nurse to look after them, and health care benefits are covering less and less these days. For them, working from home is the only option.

There are also those people who prefer not to interact with others. For them, working at home online is the perfect job environment. They do not need to have any interaction with anyone.

There are also some people who have incredibly long commutes to and from their jobs. For them, having the ability to work form home either at their present job by telecommuting, or with one of the many opportunities working at home online to make money, is a great possibility. Who wouldn’t prefer waking up, making their coffee and sitting down at their desk for work?

So what opportunities are there to make money from home? You can become an affiliate internet marketer. You can write books. You can run a business based on tangible goods if you have the ability to stock and ship inventory. You can become a virtual assistant, if you want the flexibility of working from home, but the reliability of a steady income. There are many different ways to generate an income from home online, if you have the desire to do so.

The best reason for working at home is to spend time with your family, doing the things that you enjoy. Life is short, you should be enjoying it!
